The Gods protecting the dead will reward you if you can find and restore the hidden ancient artifacts but be wary of angering them lest they seek revenge upon you. Find all the hidden objects and Seth, the God of Thunderstorms and the Desert will grant you safe passage into the great pyramid.
The God Horus is the protector of the king and prevents access by dropping blocks from above. He challenges you to clear all the blocks to retrieve the ancient artifacts. The more blocks you match the bigger the reward in gold but being greedy will gain you nothing.
Beware of the Goddess Sekhmet, the bringer of destruction to enemies of the Gods!
Sekhmet protects the Gods by punishing their enemies. You must convince her you pose no threat and are worthy to be allowed to proceed. She will gradually lower blocks to crush those unable to destroy them or fail to dodge her merciless fireballs. Sekhmet will deny access to where the next chamber is hidden to all she regards as unworthy to proceed.
Expedition Funds
Your expedition funds start at $500 but you can increase these by collecting Gold along the way. Some Gods may shower you with gold as reward for your success whilst others make you seek silver which they turn into Gold when you have enough. Collecting the gold adds it to your expedition fund and the more Gold you hoard before collecting it the greater the value but being greedy will lose you all your hoarded gold.
You can use some of your gold as an offering to the Gods in return for things to help you proceed. By offering Seth, the God of the Desert and Thunderstorms an offering of Gold he will grant you a Hint to show where one hidden object lays. Sekhmet, as ruthless as she appears is not without heart. She will reload your catapult ammo by making an offering of Gold to her but should your Gold run out she will command you to go back to find more before allowing you to proceed.
Artifact Restoration
Pieces of damaged artifacts can be collected from some levels which the Goddess Isis, protector of Coffins and Canopic jars tasks you with restoring to their former glory. Failure returns the pieces forcing you to place them again. Isis rewards your success with more gold for your expedition funds.
Bonus Levels
Osiris is the Chief Judge of the Underworld and also the God of Resurrection. Upon completion of the last section of a chamber he grants you a Resurrection life and the Sun God RE rewards you by offing bonus levels. These bonus levels can increase your score dramatically and are offered without any fear of loss. Further to this you can also increase your expedition funds. Four Bonus levels are on offer and continue until failure; the more that are completed the more you can earn in this Egyptian video game for Windows®
